11/11 Analyzing the Historical Trojan War vs. The Myth
Bethany Hughes said that Heinrich Schelimann had been the one to discover the site that he believed to be the city of Troy. They stated that the city walls crumbled, and were buried underneath nine cities. Schelimann believed that the city of Troy existed from 3000 to 400 CE. 11/7 blog
My task is to complete the following pre-reading question: In what ways do the lives of great leaders show a mixture of achievements and setbacks? Do you think less of leaders who show weakness or encounter failure? Think of one or two great leaders, either living or dead, and free write about triumph and tragedy in their lives. So here i go.... The lives of leaders show achievement and setbacks because some of them have great achievements, and some have really bad setbacks. It is the great leaders life's that reflect on which they achieve at or are failing at in certain things. I think if a leader shows a weakness it shows be that they are just human and make mistakes. Hence, I don't think bad of leaders who encounter failure. For example, President Kennedy. He had some ups and down, but he made a great leader, he had a few mistakes, and had some huge wins. And because he stood up for what he needed and thought what was right, he stood till the end and paid the ultimate price, by losing his life for what he thought was 100% right. I admire him greatly...
